A set of three black decorative vases in handmade stoneware ceramics, wheel-thrown in Fernando Durao's workshop in Buenos Aires. Decorative vases with a spherical body of generous volume that rises into a thin, slender neck — a form that gathers all its mass at the base and releases it upward with precision. One-of-a-kind studio ceramic pieces, no molds, no series, never restocked.
The surface is brushed with a black glaze of my own formula, fired at 1200°C (2192°F). The brush marks create a living texture that changes with the light — the black is not flat but deep, with movement. These are modern vases with a strong presence that work as design objects in any interior — on a sideboard, a living room table or a shelf — ideal for minimalist decor.
