A master ceramist shaping a clay vase on the potter's wheel, creating a unique piece of studio ceramics.

Studio Ceramics

Every piece you see here is one of a kind. There are no restocks, no endless catalogs, no workshop copies. Thirty-five years devoted to studio ceramics means one thing: once a piece leaves my workshop, that particular combination of form, texture and fire will never exist again.

Buy decorative vases and design objects directly from the artist. No middleman galleries. No distributor markup. From my workshop in Lanús, Buenos Aires, to your space in the United States and across Argentina.

Potter and Ceramicist

Pottery is not a craft or an art you master in six months. It is a lifelong dialogue between clay, fire and hands. I work at the potter's wheel, making forms that come from improvisation, not from a mold. Every volume is shaped by hand, fired at 1200°C (2192°F) and decorated by hand with glazes of my own formulation.

The result: dense, vitrified, permanent pieces. Vases and sculptures that age without losing their structure. Design objects conceived and made by hand, for spaces that value art, form and authenticity.

What you won't find here are mass-produced reproductions, slip-cast pieces or generic finishes. That is not my language.

Studio Ceramics vs. Mass-Produced Décor

The market is saturated with identical, mass-produced pieces: plaster molds, low-fire clay bodies, standardized commercial glazes. They are objects with no vibration, no fingerprint, no moment of creation. They look clean in catalog photos, but in person you can see the poorly defined lines and the low quality of a process that puts quantity ahead of quality.

My pursuit is the opposite. Every decorative vase or sculpture I make on the wheel carries the record of that specific day, that particular clay, that one-of-a-kind firing. The matte and satin finishes I achieve with my own formulas return light in an organic way, never glossy. The texture changes depending on where you look from and the time of day.

That is studio ceramics. Pieces that will still be in your space five years from now, fifteen years from now, looking exactly as they do today. Because they are authentic, made with craft and the best materials and equipment.

My Collections

Collection of six minimalist studio ceramic vases with long necks, in two groups of three: matte black and white, on a clean background.

Discover my vision of studio ceramics through the Unikas Black and Unikas Quartz collections. I throw each vase by hand on the potter's wheel and fire it at 1200°C (2192°F), applying glazes of my own formula in matte and satin finishes. I invite you to explore the subtlety of the organic lines and find the ideal piece for your space by visiting my online shop.

What Is Stoneware Ceramic?

Each of my vases is thrown by hand on the potter's wheel and fired at 1200°C (2192°F). Discover what stoneware ceramic is, why its porosity of almost 0% guarantees a piece that will never warp, built to last a lifetime, and how the chemistry of fire transforms earth into unique artist-made objects.
