A set of three pieces. A black handmade ceramic centerpiece in handmade stoneware ceramics, wheel-thrown in Fernando Durao's workshop in Buenos Aires. Spherical forms of generous volume with a minimal neck — an organic geometry that rests naturally on any surface and turns a table into the visual center of a space. One-of-a-kind studio pieces, no molds, no series, never restocked.
The surface is brushed with a black glaze of my own formula, fired at 1200°C (2192°F). The brush marks create a texture that changes with the light — the black is not flat but alive, with depth and movement. Three different heights that together create a compact composition with strong presence — ideal as a centerpiece for a dining room, living room or sideboard.
