Black Decorative Vase Unikas Black in Handmade Stoneware Ceramic
The Unikas Black decorative black vase stands out for the marked contrast between its wide, flattened body and its long, thin neck, designed to bring visual tension and sober elegance to architecture and interior design projects. Each piece is born from improvisation and play of lines on the potter's wheel, making it an unrepeatable studio design object.
This piece is part of our collections of design objects and modern vases, where we explore the nobility of the raw material and the unique density that high temperature gives.
Because of its height and slender silhouette, this black decorative vase works both as a stand-alone sculptural piece and as a container for dried branches or fresh flowers, adding character to living rooms, desks and reception areas with a minimalist aesthetic.
Black decorative vase: own glazes fired at 1200°C (2192°F)
The surface of this decorative vase is treated with formulas of my own glazes applied with a brush, achieving a satin black finish with a soft, mineral texture. Firing in the ceramic kiln at 1200°C (2192°F) ensures deep vitrification, low porosity and maximum aesthetic durability over time.
You can combine this piece with other elements of the line, such as our light-glaze options within the Unikas Quartzseries, creating plays of contrast and rhythms of height on consoles, china cabinets or coffee tables.
A special piece because of its proportions
The body, 24 cm (9.4 in) in diameter, opens generously and meets, all at once, a thin neck that ends in a mouth of barely 3 cm (1.2 in). That abrupt difference between diameters is what makes this piece special: it asks for a place of its own, with air around it, and looks its best with a single dried branch or flower.
